One of the things I love most about senior sessions is that no two are ever the same. Some are carefully planned down to every detail, while others naturally evolve as the session unfolds. Anneliese’s senior session at Schenley Park and Aspinwall was the perfect example of trusting the process and letting creativity lead the way.
From the start, Anneliese had a very specific vision for her senior photos, but at the same time, was very open to my expertise. She knew the overall vibe she wanted, and my goal was to bring that vision to life while still allowing the session to feel relaxed and natural. I absolutely love when seniors come in with ideas and inspiration because it allows me to create something that feels even more personal to them.
One of my favorite parts of this session was how flexible and easygoing both Anneliese and her mom were the entire evening. Shortly after we started, we actually decided to change our second location choice on the fly, and honestly, it ended up being the perfect decision. Sometimes the best sessions happen when everyone stays open, relaxed, and willing to pivot a little when inspiration strikes.
We started the session at Schenley Park, where Anneliese wore the prettiest orange floral dress. It photographed beautifully against the greenery and soft natural backdrop. The colors felt warm, elegant, and perfect for the season.
Later, she changed into a white skirt paired with a maroon top, which gave the session a slightly more styled and editorial feel while still looking timeless. I loved how this outfit added variety to her gallery while still fitting the overall vision she had for the session.

To finish the evening, she changed into a classic white dress, which is always one of my favorite looks for senior photos. There is something so timeless and effortless about a simple white dress during golden hour. The soft light combined with her relaxed confidence made these final images feel especially beautiful.
Throughout the entire session, Anneliese and her mom fully trusted my process, and honestly, that trust makes such a difference. When seniors feel relaxed and not overly focused on every little detail, the photos naturally feel more genuine and effortless.
Sessions like this are such a reminder that senior photos do not have to feel rigid or stressful. Sometimes the magic comes from simply going with the flow and allowing the experience to unfold naturally.
Anneliese, thank you for trusting me to bring your vision to life. Your session was absolutely beautiful from beginning to end 🤍
