A Rustic, Country-Inspired Senior Session with Bree at Beechwood Farms and Aspinwall

Bree’s senior session was one of those evenings that felt full of personality from the very beginning. We split her session between the water in Aspinwall and the beautiful natural textures at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve, which gave us the perfect mix of rustic, country-inspired scenery and soft, natural river views.
From the start, Bree showed up with so much energy and confidence. She is one of those seniors who makes the entire session feel easy because she is outgoing, relaxed, and fully present in the moment. I always say that the best sessions happen when a senior is willing to lean in and have fun, and Bree absolutely did that.
She also did an amazing job choosing outfits that matched her vision perfectly. We built a really cohesive country inspired look throughout the session, while still giving each outfit its own personality.
We started with jeans and a coral top, which looked so cute and natural against the river backdrop. Then she changed into a white top paired with her cowboy boots, which honestly felt like the perfect classic senior look. It fit her personality so well and worked beautifully with both the water and grassy areas.
Next, she wore a crochet white two piece set with a long skirt and matching top.
This outfit was such a standout moment in the session. It had a soft, dreamy feel while still tying into the rustic environment around us. And to finish, she changed into a brown dress that grounded the entire gallery with a warm, earthy tone that photographed beautifully in both locations.
At the river, we focused on capturing movement, reflections, and those naturally candid moments along the pier and water. Then at Beechwood Farms, we had so many different textures to work with, including wooden fences, rustic buildings, benches, barns, and open grassy fields filled with wildflowers. The variety at this location always surprises people in the best way because everything is so close together, yet each spot feels completely different.
One thing I always remember about Bree’s session is how much fun we had moving through each pose and location. She made everything feel light and effortless, which allowed us to really focus on capturing her personality instead of forcing anything.
We did run into a little curveball with the weather. The session started with full sun, which gave us beautiful bright light early on, but as we transitioned to Beechwood Farms, the clouds rolled in and covered our golden hour light. It was definitely not what we planned for, and I always prefer that warm sunset glow when I can get it.
But even without the golden light, the session still turned out beautifully. The soft, overcast skies actually gave everything a very even, dreamy feel that worked surprisingly well with her outfits and the rustic scenery.
This session was a great reminder that while light is important, connection, energy, and confidence matter just as much. Bree brought all of that and more.
